Adco have awarded Ultrafloor the design and construct contract for the gallery precast roof structure at the Bundanon Trust’s Riversdale Masterplan project. A striking redevelopment on the estate of one of Australia’s most celebrated artists, Arthur Boyd. The project will showcase Boyd’s art and create a haven for artists on the banks of the Shoalhaven River.

The $28.5-million project, designed by a team comprising Kerstin Thompson Architects, Wraight and Associates, Craig Burton, Atelier 10 and Irwin Consulting, will include a contemporary art gallery set within a sloping hillside to display Bundanon Trust’s $43 million art collection.

The Ultrafloor scope of works consists of the design, manufacture and the installation of the primary 13.5m architecturally featured precast beams. These precast beams are characterised by the high quality of finish and their structural ability to span un-propped across both gallery spaces. Spanning onto the primary Ultrafloor precast beams are our standard 130M beam system, which together create the vaulted exposed precast ceiling.

Ultrafloor are scheduled to start on site in early 2021, with a completion date planned for late 2021, construction will see Ultrafloor prominently used within the subterranean gallery. Other works on the site include an auditorium, restaurant, education spaces and accommodation for 64 people.
