Bearers

We wish to advise no flooring products will be available after 30 September 2023.

ULTRAbearers

Ultrafloor bearers provide an extremely efficient method for constructing suspended low lying slabs (i.e. ground floor) and detention tank lids. The bearers are used in conjunction with a traditional Ultrafloor slab to create a concrete bearer and joist flooring system.

As no propping or formwork is required, the Ultrafloor system is the cheapest, fastest and most durable solution for constructing a suspended slab when underside access is limited or impossible.

Bearer Range

Any Ultrafloor beam can be used in a bearer and joist arrangement. 170 Lintels and R beams are typically supported on single brick piers and run along the inside of external walls. M and C beams are commonly used as internal bearers on standard 230mm wide brick piers.

Design

Ultrafloor bearers are generally designed with no mechanical connection to the slab joists. However in special circumstances, when increased bearer capacity is required, they can be engineered as composite beams through the use of steel dowels connecting the bearer into the in-situ slab topping.

Bearers Only

If your project only requires bearers, Ultrafloor can supply the beams to site. These beams would then be installed by the Builder.
